The Avengers: Endgame Super Bowl spot on Sunday night had fans questioning some shots in the 30-seconds of new footage, whether if a character was edited out as to not give away any spoilers.
The curiosity arose in regards to two main shots, which appear to have awkward gaps between the characters.
We already have a good idea of who survived Thanos’ snap at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, but some characters’ survival are unknown.
Fans are speculating if characters are edited out of the 30-second Super Bowl spot, it could be anyone from Shuri – who we know was considered “missing” from the Avengers: Endgame trailer, but we never actually saw disappear into dust – to Iron Man who is currently trapped in space without any known way of getting back to Earth.
The biggest spoiler that would be avoided, is that if Captain Marvel was edited out of the shots – as that would give away everything Marvel Studios is trying to keep secret.
Marvel Studios is known for editing trailers to avoid spoilers to throw people off, such as in the Avengers: Infinity War spots, Hulk was added to the Wakanda shots when he wasn’t actually in the final film’s version of those scenes.
Thanos’ Infinity gauntlet was also edited to not show that he had all of the Infinity Stones in his possession.
Time will only reveal if there is a character who was erased from the latest trailer and we may find out as early as March 8 when Captain Marvel hits theaters.
